한국남동발전은 2001년 한국전력공사에서 발전부문이 분리되어 창립된 발전회사로서 삼천포화력본부를 비롯한 6개의 발전단지에서 대한민국 전체 발전설비의 약 10%에 해당하는 발전설비를 갖추고 국가산업 발전의 원동력이자 국민 문화적인 생활을 위한 필수 에너지인 전력을 경제적이고 안정적으로 공급하고 있습니다
또한 화력발전 설비의 지속적인 확충을 위해 노력하여 수도권의 전력난 해소를 위한 1,740MW 규모의 영흥 7,8호기의 건설, 민간회사와 협력을 통한 고성군, 강릉시 일원의 4,000MW의 대규모 석탄화력발전 건설계획이 제6차 중장기전력수급계획에 반영되어 현 설비용량의 80%에 수준에 해당하는 추가적인 설비용량을 확충하였습니다.
아울러 신재생에너지분야 기술 등 10대 중점기술을 선정하여 글로벌 수준의 기술력을 확보하기 위한 활동을 활발하게 전개하고 있으며 해외사업 및 신사업을 적극적으로 추진하여 불가리아 태양광발전단지 개발사업, 미국 Novus 풍력단지 개발사업, 인도네시아 석탄화력 건설사업 등 미래 성장동력 확보에도 알찬 성과를 거두고 있습니다. |
KOSEP Co., Ltd. was established in 2001 being separated from the electricity generation department of KEPCO(Korea Electric Power Corporation). We are supplying the economical power stably to the consumers which is the driving force of the national industry development and the essential energy for the cultural life of the people from the 6 power generation complexes including Samcheonpo TP. And we are equipped with the facilities capacity of 10% from the overall in the nation.
To solve the suffer from the inefficient electric power supply of the metropolitan area, KOSEP is planning to construct Yeongheung power plant unit 7, 8 with the capacity of 1,740MW and it is planned to build up the large scale about 4,000MW class coal fired electric power plant around Goseong-gun and Gangneung City together with the private companies which is reflected to the 6th mid-long term power demand supply program that would reach 80% of the current power generation capacity.
As an additional remark, KOSEP has actively developed the activities to secure the global standard technology by selecting 10 core technologies including New & Renewable energy field. And the aggressive propulsions of the business from the overseas and new business such as the solar photovoltaic power plant in Bulgaria, Novus wind-farm development in US and the coal-fired power plant construction in Indonesia etc. bring the profitable results. |
